What fraud protections exist for auctions conducted on your Web site?
TimberEquipment.com does require all users to have a valid e-mail address.
Additionally, all sellers must submit valid payment information via a secure server.
Unfortunately, user verification on the Internet can be difficult if not almost
impossible. Thus, TimberEquipment.com does not certify the identity of any user.
TimberEquipment.com cannot and does not confirm each user's purported identity.
One way that the Site does provide a system of checks and balances is its user
feedback system. This allows users to post comments on particular buyers and sellers,
which can help you evaluate other parties before conducting any transaction.
For additional levels of security, you may want to consider using in conjunction with
TimberEquipment.com a third party escrow service or services that provide additional
user verification/online security.
What are your suggestions for safe trading on TimberEquipment.com?
Find out as much as you can about the seller or buyer by reviewing the feedback
profile of the other party. Avoid any seller with significant negative feedback.

through our online message system. You might also want to look to see if the seller
has anything else up for auction. You can learn more about your seller by seeing what
items they normally sell. For greater peace of mind, look for the Preferred Dealer
icon. These companies have had their identity verified by TimberEquipment.com and are
known machinery/equipment suppliers or dealers.
